Four men robbed the Delavan state bank after forcing president W. R. Topping to open the vault. About $6,000 in cash and $1,000 in bonds were taken. Topping and his family were held overnight. robbers used a southern drawl. An unrelated bank hold up in Prospect, Ohio, also netted seven to eight thousand dollars.

Woman dies after husband stabs her in Eau Claire home
Mrs Mildred Johnson, 26, was shot five times and stabbed by her husband Harold Johnson who then killed himself with a razor. Both bodies were found in the bedroom of Ole Johnson, the grocer father. Mrs Johnson died at Luther Hospital after failing to regain consciousness. A note left by Harold claimed he was tired of life.

Second Jury in Foshay Case Deadlocks in Minnesota
The second jury hearing mail fraud charges against Wilbur B. Foshay and H. H. Henley in Minneapolis remained deadlocked after 44 hours of deliberation. Judge Joseph W. Four Children Die in Crown Point Road Fire
Four children died in an early morning fire at a two story frame home on Crown Point road near Paulsboro New Jersey. Theresa Bell 13 Ruth 2 Mary 4 and William 8 months were trapped as mother Lilian Bell 38 was badly burned while trying to rescue them. Neighbors notified by Charles Blackman helped save the mother and alert authorities while William Bell the father was at work.

Police guard maintained at Dupont executive's home
