George J. Schneider, 61, a former U S congressman from Wisconsin’s Eighth District, died early Sunday in Toledo after a night session of the International Brotherhood of Paper Makers where he was second vice president. He collapsed in a Waldorf hotel room and died at 12:30 a m. A paper maker by trade, he served 1923 to 1933 and again elected in 1934 before losing in a Republican landslide. Burial set for Appleton, Wisconsin with services planned at Lawrence College Memorial Chapel Wednesday afternoon.
