Milwaukee Wis March 12 Journal special from Marinate sage J J Slight former assembly member from Marinette county died this morning at local hospital. Death caused by heart trouble after an illness of ployrlay. He was fifty three years old a graduate of Oshkosh Normal and served a term in the assembly retiring from politics. Mr Slight was one of Peshtigo s finest prominent citizens.
A passenger train derailed near Oakwood ten miles south of Milwaukee injuring fifteen. Conductor Mitchell and engineer Collins led the crew. among the injured are Mrs Garrett Goerlings 69 Dewey Pa and George Matega Hagenr e man with scalp wound. Officials say no one was fatally hurt.
