Fond du Lac Executive Dies in Plane Crash
Joseph H. Strobel, 57, director and vice president of the Fred Rueping Leather Co. in Fond du Lac Wisconsin, was listed as a passenger on the Trans-World Airlines jet that crashed near Urbana Ohio. All aboard were killed. Strobel had been in Pennsylvania on business and worked in production control and customer relations since joining Rueping last July. He previously led Simplex Shoe Manufacturing Milwaukee and had leather and shoe industry ties dating to 1933.
