Berlin Conn AP says a New Haven Rail Road passenger train struck a station wagon at an unprotected Norton Lane crossing killing Mrs Emily Whitaker and seven foster children aged 6 to 14 plus another adult. The wreck hurled the car into Silver Lake as divers hunted for bodies.
