Wisconsin goodswill tourists reached Columbus Ohio for the final stretch of a 3000 mile trek. The delegation, greeted by Columbus officials and Mayor J A Thompson, toured the state capitol with Gov Myers Cooper receiving a cheese and fruit welcome. The group also met legislative leaders and viewed a capitol tour.
Mrs. Lina Wideman, 75, lifelong friend and former housekeeper to Archbishop Sebastian Messmer, died at Green Bay as the church leader fought for life there. Doctors reported the archbishop in critical condition and unaware of his friend's death. Wideman was born in Goldach Switzerland, birthplace also of Messmer.
Washington dispatch reports W. Frank Cunningham deputy prohibition administrator for the eastern district of Wisconsin, stationed in Milwaukee, is not to be transferred to Chicago. Alf Offedal, assistant prohibition commissioner, says no such change has been mentioned. The report is denied by Mr Cunningham.

A Fond du Lac resident died after his automobile was struck by a steam locomotive at Theresa Crossing. Chauncey J. W. Pettibone, 44, longtime University of Minnesota instructor, was found dead in his Minneapolis apartment. coroner rules death by his own hand. Pettibone was born in Fond du Lac.
A wedding cake large enough to cost $38.75 in postage was mailed airmail to Miss Anne Morrow in Mexico City. Made in Nashville Tennessee, it was expected to go from Evansville to Chicago by Interstate Airlines before continuing to Mexico City for her marriage to Col. Charles A. Lindbergh.
