Large boa constrictor found in Oshkosh home
Edward Tabeau of 815 Woodland Ave. discovered a four foot boa constrictor in his home after a week of seemingly a pet. An Oshkosh Public Museum official confirmed the species, but the snake died overnight from exposure. The incident ended with the reptile boxed and transported to the Northwestern for display.

Manasha man dies after factory accident at cheese plant
Louis J. Lastofka, 77, of 108 Main St, Menasha, died at Calumet Memorial Hospital from head and shoulder injuries when two pieces of a cream separating machine struck him at Tillman Cheese Factory near Chilton. He drove a Foremost Foods truck, born April 12, 1931 in Neillsville, and served in the Air Force. Survived by daughter Cynthia and two sons, plus parents and sister. Funeral at Brettschneider Trettin Funeral Home, Appleton, Saturday at 2 p.m.. interment Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call today after 4 p.m.
