Relatives in this city report the death of John C. Brockway in Austin Texas. Born March 22 1838 in Steuben County New York he was nearly sixty nine. He lived in this city for years before moving to Chicago eight years ago. A Civil War veteran he served in the Twenty first Wisconsin volunteers and was held at Libby prison for months. Surviving: wife a daughter Mrs Marland Hines and a son Aubrey Brockway both of Austin. Funeral Monday at ten from the residence 513 Poplar avenue with interment Forest Home cemetery.

Twenty Years for Milwaukee Murderer in Circuit Court
In Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge Lawrence W. Jinlsey sentenced Michael Madi to twenty years in the state penitentiary at Waupun for second degree murder after denying a new trial plea. Earl P. Van Dusen Dies of Pneumonia in Pittsburgh
Franz Van Dusen chief assistant general passenger agent of the Pennsylvania Railroad West of Pittsburgh died of pneumonia at Troopss apartments in Pittsburgh. Two hours later his wife Mrs Sarah Van Dusen died in an adjoining room from the same disease. He was sixty two and a native of Cincinnati.
