Four Killed In Court By Gunman In Sweden

In Soederhamn a man ordered to pay a sum to his ex partner opened fire during a court session, killing judge Yngve Carlsson and both lawyers. Police captured him three hours later in a downtown department store as authorities combed the industrial city of 15,000 with armed officers. The victims were identified as the judge and the two lawyers. the ex partner had previously won a financial settlement from the gunman. Police said the courtroom was empty when the shots rang out and that the man’s appeal to the supreme court had been denied earlier Thursday. The four bodies were found when officials reached the room.

South Viets Abandon Another Base in Laos

South Vietnamese troops abandon base Hotel 2 as heavy antiaircraft fire stops supplies and evacuations. The base near Route 9 and Hill 31 was evacuated by two battalions carrying wounded, amid ongoing fighting as reinforcements rush into Laos to cut the Ho Chi Minh Trail with American air support.
