Israel Plans To Annex All Of Jerusalem

AP report states Israel virtually annexed the Old City of Jerusalem after Premier Levi Eshkol submitted enabling laws to the Knesset. The draft fusion law unites municipal councils and services and guarantees access to holy sites. Foreign Office spokesman Hannan Shar-on said the law protects holy places and religious access with a government minister to implement and consult with religious leaders.

King Hussein to Meet LBJ Wednesday

President Johnson will meet King Hussein of Jordan at the White House on Wednesday to discuss the Middle East crisis. Hussein, in New York for the U N special assembly, aims to press for Israeli withdrawal from Jordanian lands west of the Jordan River and for direct peace talks as aid to Jordan remains under review.

Woman faces traffic court for drunken driving and battery

Miss Elaine Snyder, 37, is scheduled to appear in traffic court on July 21 after being charged with drunken driving resisting arrest and running a red light. The battery charge arose when she bit the arresting officer's hand during the incident, police said.
