Three Milwaukee Men Drown in Upstate Lake Mishap
In Lac du Flambeau Wisconsin three Milwaukee men died when their outboard overturned during a sharp turn on Sand Lake. Drowned were Gerhard Franzen 38 a deputy civil court clerk Ben Paulus president of National Beverage Distributing Frank Schulkewitz malt products owner. Two women and a man were rescued including Ann Pflittner Joseph Hock and Mrs Schulkewitz. Paulus boatcapsized about 200 feet from shore and Max Sehmilf attempted rescue but the three bodies were later recovered from the lake.
