Senate censures Sen Dodd over campaign fund misuse
Washington reports Sen Thomas Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat, was censured 92 to 5 for using 116,083 in campaign funds to pay personal bills marking the first Senate sanction for financial misconduct. A separate count clearing him of double billing was upheld 51 to 45. Dodd repaid 1,793. Investigations by the Justice Department and IRS continue based on evidence from a 14 month ethics probe.
