Bodies found after fishing trip near Ashland Wisconsin

Ashland Wisconsin June 12 The body of George Richards was found in Bass Lake near Topside this morning and a search party is dragging the lake for the body of Herman Katséwaki. Both left Ashland Sunday for a fishing trip and their overturned boat was found the next day. Both leave families in Ashland.

Antigo Hosts Largest Wisconsin G A R Encampment Parade

Antigo, Wisconsin, June 12 A parade drew over 800 veterans including G A R members and Sons of Veterans. George W Spratt of Sheboygan elected department commander with W S Cure Antigo as senior vice commander and other officers chosen. Man Drowns in Chippewa River, Suspected Suicide

Eau Claire reports Elmer K. Strong of Stevens Point is believed to have died by self-inflicted drowning in the Chippewa River on October 29. A note found in a bottle today references the reform actions and the incident remains under investigation.

Three Earthquakes Felt Across Georgia and South

Distinct earthquake shocks were felt in Augusta Georgia Columbia South Carolina and Savannah Georgia at 5 30 am. Homes rocked as beds moved several inches and residents awoke. Three tremors lasted about fifteen seconds each with stronger impact on hills and the residential district. Seismographs in St Louis recorded two shocks with main event at 6 54 am and an estimated origin 1 550 miles southwest near the Mexico jetty.
