Motorcycle Rider Killed In Side Box Crash At Green Bay

Laurence Benning a 22 year old from West De Pere was fatally injured when thrown from the side box of his beige motorcycle after a collision with a car at a city intersection around 2 am. The motorcycle driven by Theat Cormier 22 of Route Percent. John Schwab 19 of Luxemburg was in the sedan. Schwab helped take Benning to the hospital where he died minutes later. An inquest or jury view was impaneled to view the body.

Volney Davis pleads guilty in Minnesota court

Volney Davis, a Barker-Karpis mob member, pleaded guilty to conspiracy in the Bremer kidnapping case. arraigned before Judge M. M. Joyce, he admitted the indictment read aloud in St. Paul. sentencing was deferred, with possible action set for Friday or Saturday.
