Sen. H. Alexander Smith proposed a six member bipartisan committee to study the alleged good or evil of McCarthyism with a report due by February 1. The plan, a substitute for Sen. McCarthy censure, was discussed as Sen. Knowland signaled the Flanders resolution would be considered Friday. In Oshkosh a nine year old boy, Roger Gospodarek, was killed when his bicycle struck a dog and was hit by a truck on Boyd Street near Tennessee Street. An inquest was ordered and a coroner's jury to meet this afternoon.
