Youth Charged With Murder In Beating Of Milwaukee Clerk
17 year old Jerome Slominski admitted beating a paint store clerk, Mrs. Marjorie Meyer, 29, with a mallet after claiming her screams made him nervous. He was charged with first degree murder and armed robbery after juvenile court waived jurisdiction. He said he took the mallet from the Milwaukee Boys Club to repair a wall and then attacked Meyer, who died from skull fractures after the July 12 assault. Slominski was taken into custody within 24 hours of her death.
