Girl Suffers Neck Injury After Park Dock Incident
Elizabeth Ruskin, 13, of Lincolnwood, HI, suffered a compression fracture of the neck when she was pushed from the Menominee Park swimming dock by another youth. Reported to Oshkosh police Friday, the incident occurred earlier in the week. She initially told onlookers she was not hurt but later reported pain and was diagnosed with the neck injury by a physician.

In Saigon Viet Nam a second American died of wounds from fierce Friday fighting between South Vietnamese forces and Communist guerrillas about 15 miles from Saigon in the Mekong Delta. Vietnamese military sources said 61 Viet Cong were killed. government losses were 1 killed and 19 wounded per US special forces. A helicopter crewman died Friday night of wounds. earlier another enlisted man was killed by a mine in the delta. Speeding Truck Plows Into Tour of France Crowd

National Guard Accident Lifts Toll to 498 in Wisconsin
The toll for the year rose to 498 after two men died in a collision involving a car and a Minnesota National Guard truck hauling a howitzer near Cataract Wisconsin. The crash occurred at Highway 27 in Monroe County as a 40 vehicle convoy traveled from Camp Ripley. A second fatal crash near Kenosha claimed James Ward.
