Ole K Bere, 60, of Strum Lake, was critically injured when a team attached to a hay rake he drove ran away. He was thrown to the ground and dragged, suffering head neck and body injuries on the right side. He died later from the accident.

Four men including W W Thomason a federal prohibition agent were charged with murder in the fatal shooting of James Harris and Oscar Lowery during a liquor raid at the Harris farm near Tecumseh Oklahoma. Jeff B Harris fired first wounding Lowery and Harris who died after surrendering. Deputy Lewis and Williams were deputized to assist Thomason. The Shawnee American Legion condemned the raid calling it an invasion of homes and will mail a resolution to President Hoover.
Madison UPI report notes Prof Ray A Brown of University of Wisconsin Law School will testify before the Senate committee on Indian affairs during hearings starting July 8. Brown, a survey staff member for the Institute for Government Research, joins 46 participants as the panel outlines a Western state itinerary including Lac du Flambeau Hayward and Appleton for sessions.
