Four Die in Wisconsin KC-97L Plane Crash Near Milwaukee
Four people, including Maj. Gen. Ralph J. Olson and his wife, were killed when a Wisconsin Air National Guard KC-97L tanker crashed near Gen. Mitchell Field in fog and rain. Seven others were injured. Olson had led the Wisconsin National Guard for 18 years. The plane, arriving from Key West, attempted a landing but went down moments after a fly-around call.
