Special to The Northwestern Menasha Wis Benjamin Gmeiner proprietor of a wholesale and retail candy shop at 305 Third street died at 9 20 this morning at Theda Clark hospital. He was operated Tuesday for ulcers of the stomach after being moved there Monday. Born Feb 20 1876 at Dale he lived in Menasha most of his life. He served nine years as cashier at the Soo line depot and three years ago started in candy manufacture. Survived by wife and four children Margaret Fussell Elaine and George all of Menasha his parents Mr and Mrs Ludwig Gmeiner of Town of Menasha two brothers Martin Neenah and Arnold Appleton and one sister Mrs Edward Buri Town of Menasha Funeral arrangements not yet completed.
