End of Yankee Occupation Marked at Ehrenbreitstein

American troops withdrew from the Rhine ending occupation authority. The Stars and Stripes came down at Ehrenbreitstein fortress as trains carried expedit ionary force members toward Antwerp to board the St Mihiel for return to the United States. The Eighth Infantry remained briefly, departing for Antwerp after 4 PM.

Winnebago County Attends Omro Creamery Opening

Special to The Norwin reports Winnebago County residents led by Oshkosh attendees joined about 400 people at the Omro Cooperative Creamery opening. Visitors toured the plant, noon luncheon featured the Savdies of the Omro Congregation, and speakers included Math Michela on market diversification and EL C.
