Woman gets seven years in Snead murder case
Newark Jan 23 Associated Press Mrs Carolina B Martin was sentenced by Judge Ten Eyck to seven years in state prison for her role in the death of Ocey W Snead. The defendant had pleaded guilty to manslaughter after the body of Ocey was found in a bathtub in East Orange on November 29 1909. The indictment also named Miss Virginia A Wardlaw and Mrs Mary W Snead. Wardlaw died in jail and Snead’s fate is pending.
