Bup. A Kounder Oshkosh chairman of the Winnebago County Highway committee has been named to the District 3 county highway safety study group for 1968. The appointment was announced by Robert Mortensen Marrison executive secretary of the Wisconsin County Boards Association. The group includes the statewide central committee three county highway commissioners and three committeemen from each of the nine state highway districts. The road safety study committee will report at the 1968 summer highway conference.

An undetermined amount of change was taken from a vending machine during a burglary at the Kuro-Inn Tavern on Highway 47 in Menasha. Employee Altha Griedl found the building in disarray at 10 a.m. after entry was gained by smashing a rear door glass. A pinball machine was pried open and watches were stolen. an inventory will determine total loss.

Two Injured In Collision On Highway 45-175
Oshkosh residents Sidney Nintzel and Bonnie Peterson were treated for minor injuries after a two car crash on Highway 45-175 at Johnson Avenue in Black Wolf town. Nintzel’s car rear-ended Peterson’s after she slowed for a turning vehicle. Each car sustained about $100 damage. Sheriff’s deputies logged the incident at 8:45 a.m. Also reported: Ricky Stroud, 16, of Gresham, escaped injury when speeding on South Commercial Street left the road and crashed into a snow fence, with over $100 damage.
