17 Year Old Scout Safely Rescues Boy From Ice
Rock Falls Illinois AP report on Mike Holbrook a 17 year old Boy Scout who trained in ice rescue saving 10 year old Paul Wagner of Sterling from a dangerous ice break on the Rock River. The ice was under an inch thick and Paul had fallen through as Mike weighed 140 pounds while Paul weighed 90 pounds. Mike used his training to edge toward Paul and bring him to safety while observing the ice pattern.

Body of Man Found Pinned Under Limb
