Wisconsin Snowstorm Dumps 16 Inches Across Upstate Areas

The December blizzard slammed Wisconsin with up to 16 inches in Eagle River and Rhinelander, 11 inches in Milwaukee, and heavy waves along Lake Michigan. The FCC approved a airborne education experiment named Stratovision. Purdue University will telecast from an airplane over Indiana with viewers in Wisconsin Indiana Illinois Kentucky Michigan and Ohio. A DC 7 will circle Montpelier Indiana at 23 000 feet delivering two programs over 34 000 square miles. Funded partly by the Ford Foundation the project costs about seven million dollars and runs in the 1966 87 school year starting next September.
