Car and train collision kills two in Oshkosh tragedy

A light sedan driven by Henry Kujawa collided with Soo Line train No. 2 at Nevada Street crossing, killing 1 year old Reymond Kujawa and fatally injuring his father who died six hours later. The boy suffered chest and arm injuries. the father died from chest injuries after remaining conscious briefly. The crash demolished the car and debris scattered 60 feet. train crew reported no clear driver identification.

Racine man Leo Charles Shaffer dies after police chase

Setback to Santa Claus in Rivers fire damages mail car

In Feo Rivers Wisconsin a 75 pound mail and baggage car caught fire while awaiting transport during the Christmas rush. Man Burned As Home Blasted By Basement Explosion

A cement contractor, Mr Herres, suffered severe burns and his 240 East Quincy Street home was badly damaged when a basement blast at about 7 pm today tore out a side wall and roof. The Edison plant tremor was reported six blocks away as furniture and clothing were hurled through the roof. Mrs Herres escaped uninjured. The blast is blamed on a faulty furnace or basement fire, investigators say.
