Neenah Man Dies After Street Accident
Charles Lansing, 71, of 231 East Wisconsin Avenue Neenah, died at Theda Clark Hospital after being struck while crossing East Wisconsin Avenue near the Chicago and North Western tracks. Mrs. Clifford Wilke, 22, of Menasha, driving east, swerved but could not avoid the man. Police reported the incident as a pedestrian fatality and planned a full investigation. Lansing died at 1 37 p.m. after the 5 09 p.m. report.

The Wisconsin Assembly, controlled by Democrats, approved two Nelson tax proposals to balance the 1960 61 budget but they face Senate doubt.
