Two Teens Rescue Children From Ice Pit
In Milwaukee Oak Creek police reported two teens saved eight year old Mark Buckan and twelve year old Jennifer Dunakey who fell through ice in a construction pit. Teens Robert Buzzell and James Gutknecht helped haul the children to safety after sliding onto the ice and pulling them free. The rescued youngsters were treated at a hospital and released.

In Quakertown Pennsylvania a 52 year old father sat in a state police car as investigators probed the smoking wreckage of a one story wooden home. Six children died Tuesday night in the fast spreading fire and a seventh child was critically burned. The victims were the biological children of Chester Allen Sr and four foster children. The dead include Eric 1 and David 11 plus Jack Jones 2 Robin Jones 8 Penny Jones 6 and Ronnie Jones 7. Chester Allen Jr 19 said his brothers were among the victims and described the family.
