Plane Crash Toll Reaches 59 in Hong Kong Harbor
The UPI report states the death toll from last week's U.S. Marine transport plane crash climbed to 59 with one more survivor casualty. The victim died at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, identity withheld for family notification. The aircraft carried Marines returning to South Vietnam when it went down in Hong Kong harbor.

Traffic Deaths Hit 630
Wisconsin's 1965 traffic toll rose to 630 with 11 weekend deaths and two today. Donald Mullen, 19, Appleton, died when a carnival semi-trailer left the highway near De Pere, plunged into a ravine and burned. Rose Mary Rabas, 25, Luxemburg, died in a Ke wa ukee County crash after her car hit a concrete culvert. Robert D. Anderson, 28, Prentice, was killed when his car hit a tree on Highway 8 in Price County.

Gronouski Named Envoy and O'Brien to Postmaster General

Five killed in heavy clash in Santo Domingo night
Rebel troops and the Inter-American Peace Force engaged in a two hour firefight in Santo Domingo. Rebel headquarters reported at least five dead and 19 wounded, OAS sources later cited nine dead and 31 wounded. No U.S. casualties. The clash followed mortar fire near the rebel sector amid talks on ending the Dominican crisis. U.S. Ambassador Ellsworth Bunker moved with the OAS committee to try to halt the fighting. India claims Kashmir attack most successful
New Delhi India claimed complete success in a cross border operation into Pakistan held Kashmir. Defense Minister B.Chavan told Parliament Indian troops seized substantial Pakistani weapons and equipment and occupied the Haji Pier Pass and Bedore posts in the Uri salient.
