Barn Burns on Rt 1 Neenah Injures Owner

A fire of undetermined origin destroyed a barn on the Kermit J. Brill farm Rt 1 Neenah shortly after 1 p m Tuesday. Losses include livestock, poultry, machinery and equipment estimated at 25 000 to 30 000. Brill 34 confined to a wheelchair since a 1960 accident was alone in the house and escaped with help from others as firefighters delayed by a county fair.

Four More Ranger Spacecraft Ordered by NASA

NASA official Dr. Robert C. Seaman Jr. announced four additional Ranger spacecraft at a cost of 20 million dollars each, raising the total Ranger program to nine ships for near moon television exploration. Employment Surges to Record High in August

Washington AP reports August job figures show record high employment with unemployment steady at 6.9 percent. Total employment rose by 49 000 from July to 68 222 090, while unemployment fell to 4 592 000, offset by a shrinking labor force as students and others left the job market. Secretary GoldberG notes fewer long term unemployed but says the rate remains unchanged due to the smaller labor pool.

Woman Drowns In Lake Winnebago After Pontoon Overturns

Mrs. Mary Resheske, 53, of 721 Elmwood Ave, drowned when a homemade pontoon boat overturned on Lake Winnebago. Rescuer Don Eppley and Steve Taylor of Valley Diving Service found her beneath the boat at 11:20 am. Her husband Edmund, 54, and Richard J. Demler, 38, were rescued.

German Swimmer Escapes From Teltow Canal Under Fire
