Vulcan six barreled machinegun unveiled for fast jets

Aberdeen Maryland AP reports the Defense Department introduced the Vulcan, a 300 pound six barreled 20 mm weapon designed for supersonic aircraft. It fires over a ton of lead per minute and uses a rotating Gatling style cluster to achieve a high rate of fire.

Eau Claire Girl Dies After Highway 41 Crash

A fourteenth Wisconsin traffic fatality of 1956 occurred when Marla Gifford year old of Eau Claire died from injuries from a collision at the Highway 41 and Highway 150 intersection. Her father Roderick I. Gifford 42 and family were injured. the Grundman auto driver Martha Grundman 54 also hurt. The crash left both vehicles badly damaged as investigators pursued details and whether an inquest will be held.

Two Die In Plane Crash Near Mayville

A small single engine plane crashed near Mayville killing 18 year old David L. Kaiser the pilot and his passenger Harry Binkley 13 Bemidji Minn. The plane owned by Hahn Aircraft Co at West Bend was flown by Kaiser with permission from Mrs. Hahn who said he logged about 100 hours. Witnesses report the plane was stunting before it went down.
