A new contract guarantees about five million dollars for the coming years, placed in a trust for Peggy's life. Peggy is described as easily the queen of movie babies, dominating Hollywood's infant actors.
In Wheaton Minnesota a northwest conference with over 12 000 attendees urged President Coolidge to call an immediate special session of Congress to stabilize wheat prices. Attending were representatives from Minnesota North and South Dakota including Congressman B Burtness and C Ty Keale and former congressman Halyer Calvorsen.
New York AP reports the leader known as Kid Dropner was shot and died after a fight outside a court as seven gang members were charsed for inability to connect them to a massacre. A riot ensued with police reserves and ambulances called. The gang members were arrested last Thursday on suspicion of acting in concert in the shooting of William Welet and Guasele Schwarts.
A Wisconsin auto touring party narrowly escaped serious injury when their vehicle caught fire after a train forced them off the road near a tailroad crossing. A. A. Beer and his wife and child fled the burning car with assistance from passersby, saving them from harm.
