Prison Riot at Georgia State Prison Kills One
Milledgeville Ga U P one prisoner was killed and 15 wounded as inmates rioted in the Georgia state prison guards and Macon policemen quelled the disturbance after chairs cots and cell equipment were wrecked and a building set afire. W E McDaniel 31 of Atlanta was shot and killed when guards fired into a white dormitory. Lawrence prison superintendent said about 20 prisoners stirred unrest and the riot lasted about three hours before authorities subdued the convicts.

Chicago WUP Nine heirs of Albert Welge a 68 hermit on North Clark Street were named beneficiaries in a will forming a half million dollar estate.
