Democrats Hear Chief Praised At Milwaukee Young Democrats Meet

The second national Young Democrats convention opened in the Milwaukee Auditorium with speakers attacking New Deal policies. Senator F Ryan Duffy of Wisconsin recalled Herbert Hoover to counter Roosevelt remarks. Wisconsin Democrats clashed over patronage and accused Progressives of meddling in caucuses. The crowd cheered when Duffy quoted Senator Vandenberg and tensions rose over party unity.
