United Press dispatch from Milwaukee reports Justice William H. Timlin of the Wisconsin Supreme Court died at his Milwaukee home after months of illness from a cancerous facial growth. Elected in 1906, he declined reelection in April. Survived by wife, a son, and two daughters. Franz C. Eschweiler elected to succeed him and to fill the unexpired term. Timlin was born May 28 182 in Mequon Ozaukee County to pioneering parents. his father Edward Timlin was said killed by Indians. The mother of Justice Timlin died earlier.

He served as a school teacher, superintendent, and court stenographer in Kewaunee before being admitted to the bar in 1877. After practice in Ke wanee and Green Bay he moved to Milwaukee. He married Cecelia Arpin about forty years ago and is survived by his wife, a son W. A. Timlin, Sr., and two daughters Adah Frey of Washburn and Kathleen Timlin of Milwaukee.
