Oshkosh Legion Team Heads to National Section C
Oshkosh National Region IX champions for the third straight year leave for Bismarck North Dakota to play in the National Section C tournament. They beat Edina Minnesota 4 1 to win the right to represent the region and face Cincinnati Ohio in the opening round. The double elimination event runs through Monday with possible matchups against Oklahoma City.

Mrs Lemay Declared Legally Dead in Milwaukee
Cecelia Lemay was declared legally dead after a seven year missing person case. Edmon Lemay, her husband, testified under oath that he had nothing to do with her disappearance. The ruling by County Judge Roy Stauff follows six lie detector tests suggesting truthfulness of his statements.

Polio Claims Life of Rural Omro Man Here
Arnold J. Lee, 35, of rural Omro died at Mercy Hospital at 12 35 this morning from poliomyelitis after being admitted with non bulbar polio that rapidly worsened to bulbar type. He is believed to be the third Winnebago County polio death this season. An Oshkosh boy was hospitalized earlier, and Leslie E. Zillges, 5, of Oshkosh, admitted to Mercy Hospital at 8 45 this morning, is listed in satisfactory condition with a monopulous polio case and no paralysis yet.
