Temperatures could reach the high nineties in parts of Wisconsin Michigan Minnesota Indiana and Iowa with highs in the nineties to near ninety in Kansas Nebraska Missouri and southern Illinois. No rain was forecast to relieve the heat wave which peaked at 113 Sunday across Kansas Nebraska Oklahoma and Missouri, with two new heat deaths reported in Missouri and Kansas yesterday.

Pueblo police seek a sex mad maniac after a second fatal bludgeoning and multiple assaults within two weeks. Dorothy Drain 15 was killed and Barbara Drain 12 rendered insensible when a man entered through an unlocked door.
