Fourteen-foot cabin cruiser sinks after river collision
A forty foot cabin cruiser named Kathryn, owned by J. W. and J. P. O Malley of Chicago, struck the Rovka near the St Paul draw, sank in deep water at 7 30 pm. Five aboard were saved, one man, an Oshkosh resident, nearly drowned before being rescued by Dudley Fierce of Appleton who dived to bring him to the surface. The boat had traveled from Oshkosh and was en route to Chicago via Green Bay and Lake Michigan.
