St Paul’s, Lutherans Hold Mission Festival at East Side Park
Winneconne village reports St Paul’s Lutheran church held an annual mission festival at East Side Park with morning services in German led by J. Zuberics of Flatbloom Nell and afternoon services in English conducted by K. Chatulan of Madomines. A feast followed though attendance was not strong and no groups from other denominations attended. Local notes mention riverbank improvements by J. S. Vandredge aiding boat landings, news of Honolulu papers gifted to servicemen, and various residents visiting relatives, trips, or birthdays including Mrs. McCorpin’s ninety-fifth birthday celebration with about fifty guests.
