Feared Dead After KLM Constellation Crash Off Ireland

Reports say all 99 aboard, including passengers from the United States, were killed when a KLM Constellation crashed about 130 miles west of Ireland during a flight from Shannon to New York. Buckstaff Observatory Gift to Oshkosh State College

The Buckstaff Observatory near Oshkosh, Wisconsin, valued above 50 000 dollars, was offered as a gift to Oshkosh State College by Mr and Mrs Ralph N Buckstaff of Oshkosh. Three Young Men Die In Wisconsin Road Mishaps

The Associated Press reports three young men died in Wisconsin accidents raising the state highway toll to 457 for 1958. Joseph Jaworski, 22, of Pulaski, died when his fork lift tractor was struck by a Northwestern Railway freight train near Pulaski. The machine was dragged about 90 feet after the collision at a town road crossing. Donald T. P. Wallner, 19, and Albert J. Letourneau Jr., 21, of Milwaukee, were killed in a Wednesday night crash on West Below Road in eastern Waukesha County as they were returning to Milwaukee to hunt for jobs.

First Marines Leave Lebanon

BEIRUT Lebanon AP The first element of the withdrawing American Marine battalion sailed from Lebanon shortly after noon today to rejoin the 6th Fleet patrolling the eastern Mediterranean. The beaches were cleared of the supplies of the 2nd Battalion of the 2nd Division a 1 700 man unit under orders to withdraw from Jehuon after a stay of near a month. The withdrawal is scheduled to be completed Friday.
