Kenosha was unanimously chosen as the 1940 convention city by delegates to the annual American Legion department convention this morning. Ralph Alderson and Val Dittman of Kenosha presented the report and invitation, accepted by acclamation. The meeting also approved a resolution backing deportation of Harry Bridges and denying citizenship to aliens affiliated with communist or Nazi groups. Homer L. Chaillaux urged immediate deportation of those suspected, stating no place for such elements in America.

Training Schooner Found On Lake Gives Fresh Food
Chicago reports forty nine Sea Scouts and crew aboard the training schooner Oliver 13 Perry were found on Lake Michigan near Cana Island north of Sturgeon Bay. The cutter Nansemond located the vessel and delivered three days of stores and repairs. All hands were safe, about 150 miles from Chicago, with supplies low but sufficient to reach port.
