In Champaign Illinois Miss Stella Winslow a music teacher was found drowned in four feet of water at the high school swimming pool. Authorities believe heart trouble caused her collapse and death occurred today.
Telegraphic dispatches from Laredo Texas report a Villa rout Wednesday with about 200 dead and large captures of food and ammunition. Francisco Coss cites Federal district actions near Morelos where Carl Fanza troops defeated Emiliano Zapata’s forces as Tampico strikes continue and wartime output is cut. Military authorities say order remains.
Mrs Wilhelmina Verwey aged seventy four long time resident of Appleton passed away at her home in Appleton after fifty years in the area. She is survived by two daughters and one son. Funeral services will be held at Saviour church with Rev J Joekle officiating. Local events include a water sports exhibition on the river and a weekly bicycle race at Man Street dock tomorrow evening.
Typhoon of Minnetonka wins Class B in the Lake of Pewaukee regatta with Elizabeth of Pine Lake runner-up and Vidette of Pine Lake third. Mistral II disqualified for interfering as Typhoon posts 2 hours 4 minutes 2 seconds over an eight knot course. Tar Baby of White Bear also competes.
