Carlson's two companions were released after examination. Lois Olson and Mrs Joseph Destiche, relatives of the victims, were injured.
Appleton report says Judge R. S Cowie in Crosse ruled Outagamie County tax of 305 195 40 illegal and reversed by the county board. He also made permanent the injunction stopping the city treasurer from turning over to the county the $100 483 share cited as illegal.
In Vancouver Monday night three Chinese men died in a clash tied to a Chinese nationalist split. Lhuie Man Ha, president and editor of The Canadian Morning News, and Wong Park, a News writer and type setter, were among the dead. Wong Suey Lane, from Kamloops, was identified by police after an investigation. Eyewitnesses described a duel between Wong Park and Wong Suey Sang as the likely cause.
