The Oshkosh YMCA board awarded bids totaling 814240 for general work heating and ventilating plumbing electrical and elevator tasks for the new community YMCA to be east of Roe Park. C R Meyer & Sons Co won as general contractor at 518937 with other low bids from E C Merrill Inc Peters Co Omro D K Electric Northwestern Elevator Co. Completion slated by August 1962 with furniture and architectural fees to follow.

Two motorists died in separate one car crashes Tuesday night as Wisconsin traffic fatalities rose to 484 for the year. Harold Wildenberg 18 of Bloomer died after a car veered into a ditch and hit a culvert at 11 25 p m at St Josephs Hospital Chippewa Falls. Gor don Berg 20 of rural Bloomer was critically injured in the same crash nine miles west of Bloomer on a town road. Robert Monthie 22 of Beaver Dam died at St Josephs Hospital in that city after his car lost a curve two miles south of Reeseville on Dodge County Trunk G. He was alone.

Plane Slips Off Denver Runway With 95 Aboard
