Samuel Sutton an early Oshkosh machinist died Sunday morning at his daughter Mary Metrorison’s home at 20 Park Street after a brief illness. Born March 17 1845 in Ireland to English parents, he arrived in the United States in 1849 and later settled in Oshkosh. Survived by a wife three daughters and four sons sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral Tuesday afternoon at the McCommon residence on Park Street. Remains will be viewable Tuesday from 10 to 2. Friends asked to attend. The second obituary notes the funeral of William Schrether held at 412 East Elm Street with interment at Riverside cemetery.
