The will of the late ex Senator Philetus Sawyer was filed in Oshkosh probate court at 12 30 this afternoon. Attorney A E Thompson led the formal deposit with EB P Sawyer present. The document dated January 12 1899 in Oshkosh details extensive bequests to daughter Erna Sawyer Goodman and various relatives and institutions including the Ladies Benevolent Society with a codicil dated February 14 1898. The estate notably includes stock in Sawyer Goodman company the Wisconsin National Bank of Milwaukee and bonds of Plover Paper company among others. The hearing is set for May 16 before Judge Cleveland with Edgar Sawyer named executor.
