Oshkosh Man Killed in Crash
An Oshkosh man Earl B Schultz Jr 20 was fatally injured when his car failed to negotiate a curve on Highway 45 struck a power pole and rested against a tree. Surviving are his mother and father a brother and three sisters. Services Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church. Burial Lakeview Memorial Park. Outagamie Countys traffic death toll rose to six this year with this Sunday death.

Five Children Die in Berwick Fire
In Berwick Pennsylvania five children died in a Sunday house fire in Fishing Creek Township seven miles north of town. Father Wright Ansbach 33 was babysitting and tried to reach the children as flames trapped them. Names given include Robert Lee 9 Cheryl Louise 6 James Girard Elizabeth May 2 and Brenda Dianne months.

Mother and son die in track crossing accident
A mother Laverne M. Johnson aged 40 and her son Steven, 9, were killed when their car was struck by a fast moving Chicago and North Western passenger train at the West Butte des Morts Beach Road crossing just before 5 p.m. The train traveling about 70 miles an hour hurled the car into the air, it bounced several times and landed on a pile of barrels. An honor guard and police stood watch while the public paused to pay respects to the 84 year old commander who died yesterday at Walter Reed Hospital. The casket would remain open at the 7th Regiment Armory from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow, with a 19 gun salute at Fort Jay. The body would travel to Washington for lying in state, then Norfolk for burial near the MacArthur Memorial, per his wish to be buried beside his mother in Norfolk.

Three bandits robbed the Colonial Club near Browns Lake Sunday night escaping with an undetermined amount of cash money and jewels.
