Seven Year Old Killed In North Orono Auto Crash
A seven year old girl, Cecelia Bruton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Bruton, was fatally struck by a car near Horace Best's farm just north of Orono. The accident occurred Wednesday around 7 p.m. as she carried a water pail home from a neighbor. The child died instantly.

James T. Brown of Newcastle sold five head at the Fall Special Holstein Sale in Guelph on October 22. Prices ranged up to 1100 for a yearling daughter of Montvie Rag Apple Marksman, with a top breeder purchase of 860 for a bred female from Summit View Farm. The sale averaged 388 on 68 head. A large crowd and many buyers, mostly Canadians, attended Milton Tamblyn’s Holstein herd sale on Tuesday afternoon October 29. The opening bid on Cedar Dale Pierre Clara Belle brought 1800, and other consignments sold for 1600 1075 and 1100. The senior herd sire Montvic Hiemke Pietje Posch XX went for 3100 to E G Meagher. Total for the herd was 25850.00 with seven head auctioned by W J Murphy for 4100.
