The Whites led by Trice Carleton dominated the Crone High School Track and Field Meet at Exhibition Grounds last Friday in crisp weather. Eric Carleton set a 23 second 220 yard dash in the junior group and Marshall Keast shared top senior marks with 25 points.

Inter-school Track and Field Meet at Orono Friday
Student athletes from Orono Millbrook and Blackstock districts will compete in a track and field meet at Orono this Friday. Trophies will be awarded for champions and event winners with spending ceremonies at 2:15 in front of the grandstand overseen by Jim Henderson Oshawa Board of Education official referee.

Orono Pee Wees Lose 6-1 To Langton Final Series Clash
Langton beat Orono 6-1 in the first game of the final championship series. J Gee allowed one hit and struck out eight for Langton. Orono starter Terry Carleton gave up four hits and seven walks in 3 1 2 innings. Wayne Kennedy pitched the rest for Orono. Crone scored for Langton on a walk and two timely hits. Orono faces Langton again in Orono Saturday at 1 PM to stay in the race.
