Fireworks Draw Large Crowd At Orono Fair Grounds
Attendance at the Orono Fair Grounds fireworks show Monday evening, sponsored by the Orono Chamber of Commerce, drew strong turnout. Receipts at the Cubs stand and gate totaled 190 dollars as the Orono Band played martial airs and overtures before dusk. The Orono Firefighters then discharged the aerial and ground displays to close the program.

Durham District High School will rent six to eight portable classrooms at 205 dollars per unit monthly to be placed at Port Hope High School for two years.
